Holland Christian administrator spends her absolutely free time baking pies

HOLLAND — For 1 administrator at Holland Christian Educational institutions, making pie is tradition.

When she’s not operating her day work as human sources director, Rachel Hendershot is baking up sweet treats for the local community at Rachel Lynn Handmade Creations.

“It can be really type of nostalgic for me,” Hendershot explained. “Expanding up, I lived ideal down the street from my grandmother and, as a child, I recall shelling out a good deal of time with her and baking. It’s her crust recipe that I use now.”

Hendershot opened her at-dwelling bakery at the suggestion of her household.

Available flavors at Rachel Lynn Handmade Creations include blueberry, apple, cherry, pecan and chocolate — among others.

Hendershot’s grandmother died this 12 months.
