CAPE Council donates 500 harmless sleep swaddles to McLaren Northern Michigan

PETOSKEY — Kathleen Reed, co-chair of the Kid Abuse Prevention and Education and learning Council of Charlevoix and Emmet Counties, now has a minor more place in her garage.

On Wednesday early morning, Reed delivered some 500 toddler sleep sack sacks  — which were saved in that garage — to McLaren Northern Michigan as portion of the organization’s ongoing schooling and recognition of offering harmless snooze to newborns and their family members.

“We try to do one for each individual newborn born below through the yr,” Reed reported. “They (McLaren Northern Michigan) have about 500 babies born in this article and we have experienced a extended-standing connection with McLaren.”

Reed said the Little one Abuse Avoidance and Education Council, or CAPE, is a Kid’s Have faith in Fund Selected Council — a statewide, nonprofit organization which is also committed to the avoidance of abuse and neglect. The Children’s Trust Fund is effective in partnership with neighborhood councils which provide Michigan’s 83 counties like Charlevoix and Emmet.
